Optimizely Inspector: A Powerful DevTools Website Debugger for Optimizely Experiments
Optimizely Inspector is a free Chrome add-on developed by grumpyoldmancreations that offers an easy-to-use DevTools website debugger specifically designed for Optimizely experiments. With this tool, you can gain valuable insights into your Optimizely experiments and make necessary changes effortlessly.
Once installed, Optimizely Inspector integrates seamlessly into Chrome DevTools, adding a new tab for easy access. It provides a comprehensive overview of all currently running experiments on the entire website, as well as page-specific details about the variations you are currently viewing. Additionally, it displays the events triggered on the current page and even reveals the Google Analytics Custom Dimension number if it's integrated with Universal Analytics.
Optimizely Inspector offers several powerful features to enhance your experimentation process. It allows you to turn Optimizely on or off, delete all Optimizely cookies, and switch between variations. Moreover, if a standard implementation of Optimizely has been used, you can disable Optimizely altogether.
To start using Optimizely Inspector, simply open Chrome DevTools by pressing (Control-Shift-I) on Windows and Linux or ⌘⌥I (Command-Option-I) on Mac. Then, select the Optimizely Inspector tab to explore the wealth of information it provides.
- UPDATE*
The latest update to Optimizely Inspector now includes the ability to switch variations, giving experimenters even more control over their Optimizely experiments.
